I guess it’s time to shop for tires.

Inflate it! You KNOW you want to pop that zit.
/s/
Of course that would be a crazy thing to do so please don’t do it. But, if you do, please run a video. Please.

I wanna poke it with a stick, a really sharp, really long stick.

My tires aren’t nearly old enough for zits. It’s all the shitty roads around work.

I had one of those once. Drove on it for far longer than I should have.

Happened to one of my tires have hitting a big pot hole. If it doesn’t damage and deflate the tire, it will pimple it instead, still requiring a replacement.

Car is clearly totaled. Dump it and buy a sports car.
This is the way.

So change search from tires for 2013 Volt to AMG wagon for sale?
I’m on it!

Me too. I expect to be driving somewhere again some day.

Some may even call it a knife! xD

bulgy bulgy.... I’d definitely go with a set of Pilot Sport Cup 2Rs

Sucks.
Douglas tires..... never heard of them before, are they known for being good?
![]() 05/06/2020 at 20:49 |

Seriously though, that’s not good.

I’ve only ever seen experienced this once. My buddies brother had driven his van into a tree. He got a bunch of work done to fix it. All covered by insurance, because technically the car had been stolen.
A few days after he got it back it started shacking like it was going to explode. Turned out that tire had hit the tree hard enough to knock it loose, but it took a bit of rolling for it to develop into a problem. We both thought the van was a goner.

I said really long. I think that takes us into sword territory.
Thankfully the safety manager at my work does medieval re-enactments so I know where to borrow one.

I have zero doubt it’s from the shitty roads on the AF base where I work. Everywhere but officers housing has blacktop less than half the thickness it should be and is either potholed or badly heaved.

They’re made by Michelin and we’re actually a pretty good tire. The car had Goodyear low rolling resistance tires when I got it, and these were much better for handling and bad weather traction.

Thankfully I can drive my truck while I decide what tire I want.

Thankfully I have a truck that I can drive until I get them replaced. I’m going to check to see who locally is an installer for tirerack.

I’m an “essential employee” so I’ll be driving tomorrow. Thankfully I can drive my truck till I get them replaced. I think I’m at about 35,000 miles on these tires so I’ll replace all four.

I think you want something longer than a sword? Maybe ask him if he has some sort of lance or pike?

You got a Discount Tire/American Tire in your area. They will usually negotiate a price even cheaper than Tire Rack. Get the Tire Rack price first and then call them to beat it.

Oddly enough I know that he does. He has actually driven around with a pike on his roof rack.

We have discount tire. I’m not aware of any American Tire stores near me. Thanks for the info.

I’m surprised you got that many miles out of them, When I worked at a Walmart TLE we called Douglas tires “D oug ass tires” because they were crap.

Of course you could get more sophisticated and build a replica of NASA’s Tire Assault Vehicle:
Basically a drill and camera mounted on the lower section of a remote controlled model tank.

Holy crap. I would love to be able to get 20k miles out of my tires. Especially the rears. lol

This is the first time I’ve ever gotten more than 20k miles from a set of tires. My record is the cheap Sears brand tires my dad payed for on my first car. All four were bald before it was time for my first rotation.
